We're looking for a few adults to lead Discipleship Groups this year — to take a handful of students, open the Bible with them week after week, and walk close enough for long enough that following Jesus rubs off. If some part of you has wondered whether God might use you with these students, read this. It's meant to tell you plainly what we're asking and what you'd be part of, so you can decide with your eyes open.

You've read what Discipleship Groups are for — students presented mature in Christ (Colossians 1:28), formed over years into people who follow Jesus as their own. Not in a crowd or a hallway, but the old way: one life poured into a few, over years. Across a student's seven years with us, that means forming six marks of a disciple in them — the Call, Cost, Conviction, Character, Community, and Callings — each walked through on the Discipleship Groups page. Here's what that page doesn't say out loud: none of it runs without people willing to lead a group. The leader is the one life the few get to be near — that's what this page is asking you to weigh.

This is Life on Life discipleship, and its picture is the perfume. A group is a few students, one leader, close enough for long enough that it rubs off.
Groups are small and grade-level — you'd lead students of your own gender, kept under ten so the conversation stays honest. And it opens around a table, not a lecture — the group grows out of honest, unhurried conversation.

Leading a Discipleship Group means you worship alongside your students first, then carry that shared morning right into the group. You sing the same songs, sit under the same Word, pray in the same room — and then you open the Bible with them building on what you just received together.
There's a quiet power in it. Your students see you worship, not just teach. And you get a front-row seat to something you can't manufacture and rarely get to watch up close: a young person beginning to follow Jesus as their own. Most people never get handed that. This is that, handed to you.
