Who is Telos for?

Any student in grades 6 through 12. You don’t have to be a member of the church, and you don’t have to have it all figured out. Come with your questions.

When and where do you meet?

Sundays at 11:30am is the best place to start. Friday nights at 7:00pm is where the community lives. Both at 5005 Edenhurst Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90039.

Will my student know anyone?

If they’re in middle school, older students called Buddies come alongside them from day one — not to teach or fix, just to make sure no one stands alone. Belonging comes before everything else.

Do we need to be church members?

No. Students don’t need to be members, or believe everything yet, to belong here.

What will my student be learning?

A seven-year path from 6th grade through 12th, designed for who a student actually is at each age. See the journey for the full arc.

How is my student cared for?

Every student is known through a Teacher, who is cared for by the Pastor. Jr. High students also get a Buddy. Read more about how care reaches your student on the About page.

How do you keep students safe online?

We don’t publish identifiable photos of minors anywhere on this site or our channels until a signed media-release policy is in place. It’s a firm line.

Is there a cost?

Weekly gatherings are free to attend. Retreats and some special events have a cost, which we share ahead of time — and we never want it to keep a student from coming, so reach out if it’s ever a concern.

텔로스는 누구를 위한 곳인가요?

6학년부터 12학년까지, 어떤 학생이든 환영합니다. 교회 등록 교인이 아니어도 괜찮고, 모든 것을 다 알고 있지 않아도 괜찮습니다. 품고 계신 질문들과 함께 편하게 오시면 됩니다.

언제, 어디에서 모이나요?

처음이시라면 주일 오전 11시 30분 모임으로 시작하시는 것이 가장 좋습니다. 금요일 밤 7시는 공동체가 살아 숨 쉬는 시간입니다. 두 모임 모두 5005 Edenhurst Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90039에서 진행됩니다.

저희 아이가 아는 친구가 있을까요?

중등부라면, 버디(Buddy)라고 부르는 든든한 선배 학생들이 첫날부터 곁에서 함께합니다. 무언가를 가르치거나 고쳐 주려는 것이 아니라, 그저 혼자 서 있는 학생이 한 명도 없도록 살피기 위함입니다. 소속감이 그 무엇보다 먼저입니다.

교회에 등록해야 하나요?

아닙니다. 이곳에 속하기 위해 등록 교인이 되어야 하거나, 아직 모든 것을 다 믿어야 할 필요는 없습니다.

저희 아이는 무엇을 배우게 되나요?

6학년부터 12학년까지 이어지는 7년의 여정으로, 각 나이의 학생이 실제로 어떤 존재인지를 세심하게 헤아려 설계했습니다. 전체 흐름은 여정 페이지에서 살펴보실 수 있습니다.

저희 아이는 어떻게 돌봄을 받게 되나요?

모든 학생은 교사를 통해 한 사람 한 사람 깊이 알아 가며, 그 교사는 다시 담당 목사님의 돌봄을 받습니다. 중등부 학생에게는 버디도 함께합니다. 돌봄이 자녀에게 어떻게 닿는지는 소개 페이지에서 더 읽어 보실 수 있습니다.

온라인에서 학생들을 어떻게 안전하게 보호하나요?

미성년자의 신원이 드러나는 사진은 서명된 미디어 활용 동의가 확보되기 전까지 이 사이트나 저희 채널 어디에도 게시하지 않습니다. 저희가 분명하게 지키는 원칙입니다.

비용이 드나요?

매주 모임은 무료로 참여하실 수 있습니다. 수련회나 일부 특별 행사에는 비용이 있으며, 미리 안내해 드립니다. 다만 비용 때문에 학생이 오지 못하는 일은 결코 원하지 않으니, 부담이 되신다면 언제든지 편하게 연락 주십시오.
